About us…

We are a friendly, family run bakery in the heart of Pokesdown in Bournemouth and Christchurch centre. In the beginning, we baked our lovely cakes at home and sold them at the local market. A year passed and our greatest dream came true; we opened our own little bakery after many years of hard work.

M’s is an artisan bakery where everything is made on the premises, from scratch, using local ingredients where possible and without artificial ingredients. Each pastry and bread has overall 3 days of hard work behind it, we don’t take quality lightly! We offer our customers the great experience of having high quality artisan bread and pastries, as well as a large selection of amazing homemade cakes that you can share with your loved ones.

Our sourdough bread is the best in the county, we have proudly won the Overall Gold in the World Bread Awards in both 2018 and 2022.

Our bakers are highly qualified experienced professionals with decades’ worth of experience in the field. Our amazing front-of-house staff also do their best to provide you with the best shopping experience possible!

Our bread and pastries have also been complimented by our awesome French customers, which is an award in itself!

Our sourdough bread

is hand made and freshly baked on-site. No improvers, preservatives or rising agents, only carefully selected ingredients. Using traditional methods, it takes at least 24 hours to make each loaf, from building a starter to baking. Besides our daily Pain Au Levain you can find a huge selection of sourdough bread every day from the popular Multi-seed batard to the whole grain rye boule.

The bread varies from day to day with exciting combinations like wild garlic and tomato, beetroot, jalapeno and cheddar, multi grain or pain au levain plus many more varieties.

Without doubt this is the best bakery in Bournemouth. Freshly made on the premises the pastries are to die for. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. I strongly advise you to try the mini cheese scones.

Hands down one of the best bakeries nearby. Their sourdough loaves are great, and each day they have a different special flavor available. But the best thing in the shop? Their pain au chocolates! In fact any of their pastries are to die for!
